Betcha - “Trippin”

Release Date: June 2nd, 2023

With the release of “Trippin”, Betcha will be announcing their debut album “Placebo” set to release on August 25th, 2023. As well as revealing the official “Placebo” album cover and announcing a string of live shows.

More on “Trippin”:

Trippin is about letting go of the people who only fill your life with negativity. Those who want to see you fail and go out of their way to disturb your peace hence “I don’t wanna take these punches you keep throwing at me. Manipulating what I'm saying til I don’t wanna speak.” It's calling out the bullshit and making change for yourself.

We wrote “Trippin” with our “July” collaborator Nick Furlong. It brings a heavy unapologetic electric energy to match the pissed off self-affirming lyrics. The playfulness of the hook’s “La da da da dada'' mimics an “I can't hear you/I’m done with you'' childlike attitude. The final lines of the bridge “gotta let go, never needed anybody less” there's a clarity in finally pulling the plug on something that only brings you down.
